Not keeping your Android device or smartwatch screen lock secure may mean you’re liable for unauthorised transactions. The terms and conditions and protections that apply to your card, card details and contactless readers, and Google Pay’s terms and conditions, will also apply to the use of your card details through Google Pay on your Android device or smartwatch. If you’re not sure what version you’re running, visit the Google site to check and update your Android version. Important note for Android 4.4 (KitKat) users: The Google Pay app is no longer available for download from the Google Play store, and will be disabled on all devices running an Android version below Lollipop (5.0) from August 15, 2018. Google PayTM is currently available for AndroidTM running 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher with a Near Field Communication (NFC) antenna and Host Card Emulation (HCE) support.
